Glendalough Visitor Centre

This early Christian ecclesiastical settlement was founded by St. Kevin in the 6th century. Set in a glaciated valley with two lakes, the monastic remains include a superb round tower, stone churches and decorated crosses. The Visitor Centre has an interesting exhibition and an audio-visual show. Day Tours operated by Bus ireann. Guided Tours: Available for groups of 15 or more. Maximum number: 40 - 50. Duration: 30 - 40 minutes. Advance booking required for groups. Bookings accepted by telephone or fax. Booking not accepted by e-mail.
