Waterford Suir Valley Railway

Discover the Story of Rail at Waterford Suir Valley Railway, Kilmeadan Station. Read the story boards to learn about William Dargan, Father of Irish Rail, how the railway was built, who travelled on it and what goods were carried. Follow in the journey of your ancestors along the banks of the River Suir. This 50 minute train trip is fun and educational passing sights such as the ruins of Kilmeaden Castle and well-preserved lime kilns. Make a wish in the Magic Wood and journey though a 40-meter tunnel under the N25.
