Saint Patrick’s Cathedral

St Patricks Cathedral is one of the oldest buildings still in use in Ireland today. Built by the Anglo-Normans in the 13th century it is a superb example of medieval gothic architecture. It has experienced and survived wars, revolutions and a reformation. The Cathedral Education Department provides students of all ages an interactive encounter with this sacred space. We offer a wide range of thematic guided tours and workshops, which can be tailored to your chosen learning objectives and the school curriculum. All of these activities are free for Irish school and university students who attend as part of an organised education visit.
