Lissadell House and Gardens

The Lissadell Estate is the home of husband and wife Edward Walsh and Constance Cassidy and their seven children. We welcome visitors, during the season, to the House, Exhibitions, Gardens & Grounds. Here your class will learn about the history of the house, the foundation of the Irish State and women's suffrage (right to vote). With exhibitions on Countess Markievicz, the 1916 Rising, The Voice of Women, Lissadell is the perfect place for your children to have a different day out and learn an important part of our national history. Pre-booking of school tours is essential.
