Dublin Zoo

Dublin Zoo provide thousands of learners with high-quality wildlife, sea life and animal conservation programs for pre-school, primary school and secondary school. They offer are a range of exciting, interactive and structured educational programmes, workshops and resources, tailored to meet the specific needs of all learners. And if you cant make it to the zoo, they can visit you. Their popular outreach program available to primary schools provides exciting, hands-on workshops using biofacts (animal bones, skins and teeth) to explore how animals use camouflage and how they adapt to their environment. On site at Dublin Zoo primary school students can avail of a range of workshops around the SESE Curriculum. For the secondary school students Dublin Zoo offer workshops in evolution, sustainability, genetics, ecology, conservation and zooardship. Opening times: January 9:30am-4:30pm, February 9:30am-5:00pm, March-September 9:30am-6:00pm, November 9:30am-5:30pm, December 9:30am-4:00pm.
