Coole Park

Coole Park, now a Nature Reserve, was once the home of Lady Gregory. It is a Nature Reserve of approximately 1,000 acres (4 km2) located a few miles west of Gort in County Galway, Ireland. We offer nature awareness programmes to primary schools, and ecology or geography fieldwork to secondary schools. The park aims to encourage the development of environmentally friendly practices. As this site is managed by the National Parks and Wildlife Service, school tour visits are permitted free of charge provided certain conditions are met.
