Cavan Burren Park

The Cavan Burren Park is a huge educational resource illustrating to the visitor the history of human settlement from the tombs of early Neolithic settlers to the farm cottages of nineteenth century farmers. Equally as important it paints a picture of the evolution of a landscape from its formation in a tropical sea to what we have today. Layer upon layer of history all here interpreted and preserved for you to enjoy. The site is in the ownership of Coillte Teoranta and has been developed in partnership between Coillte, Cavan County Council and the local community.
