The Cool Planet Experience is a non-profit organization and visitor centre on a mission to educate, engage and inspire climate action in an interesting and exciting way. Our inquiry based education programme is interactive and hands on. Combining the tour and a climate related workshop, students can investigate, experiment, question and learn, all while having fun. The programme is curriculum-linked and designed to ignite curiosity in STEAM subjects. The typical school visit combines the interactive tour and a workshop led by one of our Planeteers. Duration 3 hours.

Cool Planet Experience will be launching a new online climate action blended learning programme before Christmas 2020. Initially the programme will be rolled out to transition year students and it will then be adapted for other post primary levels as well as primary level in 2021. This exciting new programme will teach students about scientific concepts, the implications of climate change and what action is required to bring about a zero carbon future. The programme is designed to cultivate problem solving and critical thinking skills and will include modules such as Climate Action, Science, Energy, Food and Biodiversity. The online content is self directed so students can complete modules in their own time, from home if required.
