Michael Vignoles is delighted to offer his hands-on Bodhrán Workshops to Transition Year students across Ireland. These workshops provide a unique opportunity for students to construct and complete a bodhrán entirely from scratch while engaging with Irish culture and music. - 🪘 Build from raw materials: Each student receives a frame, goatskin, crossbars, and tacks, and is guided step by step to create a fully functional bodhrán. - 🎨 Personalise your instrument: Once complete, students decorate their bodhrán with a design of their choice. - 🎶 Learn to play: The workshop concludes with a lively lesson in traditional Irish jigs and reels. This program blends craftsmanship, creativity, and tradition, ensuring every TY student leaves with both a handmade instrument and the skills to play it.
