Marsh’s Library

School tours include a brief history of Marsh’s library and a look at the points of interest in the old reading room & the two galleries. Spotting the bullet holes that remain in books from the time of the Easter Rising, passing the cupboard where a 3500 year old Egyptian mummy was found and then on to the cages where readers were locked in to stop them from stealing the books. We have a minifigure hunt of the famous people who play a part in the library's history and students can get creative in practical workshops from printing to bookmaking.
